Job Description: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

A SENCO plays a crucial role in ensuring that children with special educational needs (SEN) receive the support and resources they need to reach their full potential. They work closely with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to create personalized learning plans and monitor the progress of students with SEN.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing and identifying students with SEN
• Developing individualized education plans for students with SEN
• Supporting teachers in implementing strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN
• Monitoring the progress of students with SEN and making adjustments to their plans as needed
• Collaborating with parents, teachers, and outside agencies to provide a holistic support system for students with SEN
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to SEN support
