Senior Information Security Engineer Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Implement security controls to protect information systems and data.
• Monitor security events and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate threats.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into projects.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders.
• Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks.

Skill Sets:

• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, technologies, and best practices.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
• Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
