An ECHO Technician, also known as an Echocardiograph Technician, is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to create images of a patient's heart. These images help doctors diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images of the heart
• Assist cardiologists in interpreting images and diagnosing heart conditions
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions
• Document findings and prepare reports for doctors
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality

Skill Sets:

• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality images
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is preferred
