Estimator Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates and bids for construction projects
• Analyze blueprints and other project documents to determine materials, labor, and equipment required
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates
• Review and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle
• Track and compare actual costs to estimates to identify discrepancies

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
