Job Description: Respiratory Therapist (PFT & PSG)

Responsibilities:

• Conducting Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) to assess lung capacity and function
• Performing Polysomnography (PSG) to diagnose sleep disorders
• Educating patients on breathing exercises and techniques
• Administering bronchodilators and other respiratory treatments
• Monitoring patients during sleep studies and interpreting results
• Collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans
• Documenting patient information and treatment progress
• Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

Skill Sets:

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
• Proficiency in conducting PFT and PSG tests
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of relevant medical equipment and technology
• Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
