Job Description: Senior Major Gifts Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to increase donations from high-net-worth individuals
• Cultivate relationships with donors and prospects to secure major gifts for the organization
• Create personalized cultivation and solicitation plans for each major gift prospect
• Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure alignment of major gifts strategy with overall fundraising goals
• Track and report on major gifts progress, including prospect research, proposals, and stewardship activities

Skill Sets:

• Proven track record of successfully soliciting and closing major gifts from individuals
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and develop creative approaches to donor cultivation
• Experience with donor databases and CRM software
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical standards
