A Speech-Language Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. They work with a variety of populations, including children, adults, and geriatric patients, to improve their speech, language, and swallowing skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders
• Create and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing function
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient progress

Skill Sets

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with a diverse population of patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders
• Knowledge of speech and language development
• Proficiency in conducting therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans
