HR Assistant Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.)
• Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
• Communicate with public services when necessary
• Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
• Create and distribute guidelines and documents

Skill Sets Required:

• Proven experience as an HR Assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle data with confidentiality
• Good computer literacy (MS Office, in particular)
• Well-organized with a strong attention to detail
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a bonus
