Job Description:

The Charge Nurse in the pediatric department is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the pediatric unit. They provide leadership to the nursing staff, ensure patient care standards are met, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide nursing staff in the pediatric unit
• Assess patient care needs and develop care plans
• Monitor patient outcomes and make necessary interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Provide education and support to patients and their families

Skill Sets:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Knowledge of pediatric care protocols and best practices
