Job Description - EEG Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform electroencephalogram (EEG) tests on patients to record and analyze the electrical activity of the brain
• Operate EEG equipment and ensure its proper functioning
• Prepare patients for testing and explain the procedure to them
• Monitor and interpret test results, noting any abnormalities or irregularities
• Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide additional insight into patient conditions
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the testing process

Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of EEG equipment and technologies
• Strong understanding of the central nervous system and brain activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and interpreting test results
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle varying patient needs and testing conditions
• Certification as an EEG technician or willingness to obtain certification
