The Infection Control Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring infection control procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. They work closely with healthcare professionals to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases within healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections of healthcare facilities to identify potential infection control issues
• Educate staff on infection control protocols and provide training as needed
• Investigate and report any outbreaks of infectious diseases
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines
• Monitor and analyze infection control data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Participate in the development of emergency preparedness plans for infectious disease outbreaks

Skill Sets:

• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Certification in infection control is a plus
