Job Description: Assistant Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Safety Officer in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
• Maintain safety records and documentation
• Assist in emergency response planning and drills

Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g. OSHA 30-hour)
