Job Description:

The English Teacher will be responsible for instructing middle and high school students in the English language and literature. They will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language and writing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that cover a variety of English language and literature topics
• Assess students' abilities and create personalized learning plans to help them improve their language skills
• Provide constructive feedback on written assignments and help students develop their writing skills
• Engage students in discussions about literary works and encourage critical thinking
• Monitor student progress and communicate with parents or guardians about student performance
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

• Strong knowledge of English language and literature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
• Patience and empathy in working with students of varying abilities
• Organization and time management skills
• Previous teaching experience is preferred
