Senior Accountant Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, documented, and reported
• Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Assist with audits and tax preparation
• Stay current on accounting regulations and best practices

Skill Sets:

• CPA certification
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
