A Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of a company. They play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to help make strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements
• Managing accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Conducting financial analysis and forecasting
• Assisting with budgeting and financial planning
• Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Preparing tax returns and coordinating with tax authorities
• Participating in audit processes

Skill Sets:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred
• Previous experience in a senior accounting role
