The primary responsibility of the Social Studies Teacher is to educate students on a variety of social studies topics, including history, geography, government, economics, and culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social studies education and a genuine interest in helping students develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the social studies curriculum
• Facilitate class discussions and encourage student participation
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects
• Provide constructive feedback to students and their families
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Stay up-to-date on educational trends and research in social studies instruction

Skill Sets:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• State teaching certification in social studies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
• Experience with instructional technology and online teaching platforms
• Knowledge of multicultural education and culturally responsive teaching practices
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
