Sonographer Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing ultrasound examinations to create images for medical diagnosis
• Interpreting ultrasound images and communicating findings to physicians
• Maintaining patient records and equipment
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures
• Assisting in the training of new sonographers

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and technology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

A degree or certificate in sonography or a related field is typically required. Previous experience working as a sonographer in a medical setting is preferred.
