Job Description:

The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers in designing and developing new products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet performance, cost, manufacturability, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers in designing and developing new products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet performance, cost, manufacturability, and quality requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Conduct design reviews and create design documentation
• Work with suppliers and vendors to select components and materials
• Support product testing and validation activities
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Skill Sets:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and design standards
• Experience leading a team of engineers
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
