The Assistant Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department (ED) is responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in the overall operations and management of the ED. This role involves providing direct patient care, overseeing staff, and assisting with administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and assist with triage in the ED
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care
• Assist with staffing schedules and assignments
• Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Assist with department budgeting and resource management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Skill Sets:

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
