Collection Officer

Job Description:

The Collection Officer is responsible for managing the collection of outstanding debts from customers and clients. They will be in charge of following up on overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all collections activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments
  • Contact customers to negotiate payment plans
  • Resolve billing and payment issues
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure timely collection
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities

Skill Sets:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
