Legal Officer Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on various legal issues affecting the organization
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings and negotiations
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Advise on risk management and potential legal liabilities
• Handle legal research and analysis
• Maintain and update legal documentation and records

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field, JD preferred
• Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction where the organization operates
• 2-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a corporate or business environment
• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
