MEP Engineer Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and project schedules for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into building designs
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
• Perform site visits and inspections to monitor the progress and quality of MEP installations
• Conduct energy efficiency audits and recommend improvements to reduce energy consumption and costs

Required Skill Sets:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software used in MEP engineering
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues
