OP Pharmacist Job Description

Position: OP Pharmacist

Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medication to patients in an outpatient pharmacy setting
• Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and interacting with prescribers as needed
• Providing patient counseling on medication use and possible side effects
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice
• Managing inventory and ordering medications as needed
• Participating in medication therapy management and other patient care initiatives

Skill Sets:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current pharmacy practice guidelines and standards
