A Quantity Surveyor for MEP Projects is responsible for managing all costs related to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) elements of construction projects. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for MEP elements of projects
• Monitor project costs and track progress against budget
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices
• Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for senior management
• Review and evaluate contractor payment applications
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications and industry standards

Skill Sets:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to MEP systems
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
• Previous experience in MEP projects is preferred
