A Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of cost and financial planning for construction projects. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs
• Managing financial aspects of construction projects, including cost tracking and reporting
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
• Providing advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
• Preparing and submitting progress payments to clients
• Resolving disputes related to costs and billing
