A Registered Nurse-EMT is responsible for providing emergency medical treatment and care to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, ambulances, and other healthcare facilities. They must possess a unique combination of nursing and emergency medical technician (EMT) skills to assess, triage, and treat patients quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Responding to emergency calls and providing immediate medical care to patients in distress
• Assessing patients' conditions and determining the appropriate course of treatment
• Administering medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by healthcare providers
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Providing emotional support to patients and their families
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development

Skill Sets:

• Current RN license
• EMT certification
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as needed
