Job Description: The Registered Nurse - Endoscopy is responsible for providing nursing care during endoscopic procedures. They assist the endoscopist in performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while ensuring the comfort and safety of the patient. The Registered Nurse - Endoscopy also plays a key role in patient education and follow-up care. Responsibilities:

• Assist the endoscopist in performing procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy
• Monitor the patient's vital signs and manage their comfort during the procedure
• Administer medications as ordered by the endoscopist
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families
• Document all care provided and report any unusual findings to the endoscopist
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care

Skill Sets:

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Certification in gastroenterology nursing preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of endoscopic procedures and equipment
• Experience in endoscopy or a related field is highly desirable
