Job Description: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Monitor and assess the condition of patients, including vital signs, lab values, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
• Comfort and support patients and their families during difficult and emotional times.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Required Skill Sets:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a pediatric or critical care setting.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
