The Senior NICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to newborn infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role requires knowledge and experience in caring for premature and critically ill infants, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to newborn infants in the NICU
• Monitor and assess the health status of neonates, including vital signs and response to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist in the implementation of care plans and interventions for each patient
• Educate parents on neonatal care techniques and provide emotional support
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for each patient
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Skill Sets:

• Current RN license
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of neonatal equipment and procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
