A Special Needs Teacher is responsible for providing instruction and support to students with a range of learning, physical, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. They work with students in a variety of educational settings, from traditional classrooms to specialized programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Provide emotional and behavioral support to students
• Stay current on best practices in special education and participate in professional development activities
