A Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and ensuring the integrity of various structures such as buildings, bridges, dams, and towers. They analyze the forces and stresses acting on the structures to ensure they are safe and capable of withstanding the intended loads.

Responsibilities:

• Designing structures to meet industry codes and standards
• Performing calculations to determine the forces and stresses acting on the structure
• Creating detailed drawings and specifications for construction
• Collaborating with architects and construction teams to ensure proper implementation of designs
• Conducting site visits to assess structural integrity during construction
• Providing technical guidance and support to other team members
• Keeping up-to-date with advancements in structural engineering practices

Skill Sets:

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
• Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
